WHAT IS AN eSIM?


An embedded-SIM (eSIM) is a SIM card, but not like the physical plastic SIM cards you may be familiar with, instead it’s embedded inside your mobile phone or smart device when the device is manufactured. That way, you’re free to choose or change your mobile network without the need for a plastic SIM. It’s faster, easier and better for the planet.




HOW DO I CONNECT WITH EXTREME CONNECT?


Head to the Apple App Store or Google Play Store on an eSIM compatible mobile phone and download the Extreme Connect app. Then just follow the simple sign up steps to get connected. WILL MY PHYSICAL SIM STILL WORK WITH EXTREME CONECT ESIM?


Yes. Most phones that support eSIM, support Dual SIM which means you can use the Extreme Connect eSIM alongside your existing physical SIM card.




WHERE CAN I DOWNLOAD THE EXTREME CONNECT APP


The Extreme Connect eSIM app is available to download in the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.




WHAT CAN I DO WITH THE EXTREME CONNECT APP?


You can sign up for Extreme Connect, choose a price plan for your chosen country or location and get connected to the internet on your phone. Extreme Connect currently offers data plans for use in 114 countries with no contract. Voice and text support are coming soon.




DOES EXTREME CONNECT WORK FOR CALLS, TEXTS & DATA?


Right now, Extreme Connect support data-only plans which means you can use the service for any internet-based services and apps on your phone, such as social media, streaming video, music, playing games, email, internet-based messaging and video call services such as Facebook Messenger, podcasts, apps or just surfing the web. Traditional voice calls and SMS texts aren’t currently supported but will be available soon in a future app update.




DO I NEED TO KEEP MY OLD MOBILE NETWORK & SIM?


You don’t have to keep your old network and SIM unless you want to still use them. If you do, Extreme Connect still works alongside your current network as an additional service. Handy if you need extra data, better coverage, a better price plan or connectivity in a country you’re travelling to.
